Late last month I set off on a short trip with my family to visit various parts of Asia. In all honesty, the trip was for my mother who has dedicated her entire life to my family, but rarely done much for herself so it was a real treat to show her around my favourite parts of Tokyo.
The last time Toby and I visited Japan we decided to stay in Shinjuku, and for a change this time we decided on Shibuya. I’m still not sure which one I preferred just because both were so different yet so fun and interesting, though I’d recommend both in a heartbeat!
During our stay, I brought my family some key areas I loved so much on my last trip such as the Imperial Palace, Asakusa, Tsujiki Fish Market and many more. Outside of Tokyo, I made sure they checked out Mt Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone, simply musts given how close we were to them. All in all, Japan is certainly one of the countries I love coming back to and it was so refreshing to revisit some of my favourite locations whilst sharing them with my family. The people, the shopping, the atmosphere is amazing. I’m really looking forward to further exploring the country as a whole in the future.
