Pepper Links Moonah is one of the many beautiful hotel and golfing locations located in Victoria within driving distance to Melbourne. It’s the most ideal location for who either looking for a peaceful uninterrupted get away from their everyday busy lives, or those who love a good game of golf. Tobias and I fell into the former category π
I think out the gate one of the first things I really love about these type of vacation is the option to park your car right outside the hotel or sometimes in this instance, the hotel room. If you like to travel with a lot of stuff (like we did to film a bunch of videos) then it makes moving equipment really easy. Not the case at all when you stay in a hotel in a more built up city area where real estate is at a premium.
There is an abundance of different rooms to choose from, we decided to go with the Open Room, which is the most base level room but it comes with an amazing view! I am a sucker for a good view. I’m the sort of traveler that spends a lot of time in their hotel room and a lot less outside so having a nice room with a good view is essential to any travel for me. Safe to say the room was stunning, the view was of the massive golf course which is always a nice calming view, but still felt very private. The bathroom was stunning, with a beautiful stand alone bath tub and separate shower. All in all, it was a lovely spacious room for two people.
Like with most of our local stays, we usually do them to enjoy the accommodation rather than explore the area (I’ve lived in Victoria my entire life, I’m pretty familiar with most of the outdoors areas, but let’s be honest I’m also not an outdoor person). We explored the general grounds, which by all accounts is nice but nothing spectacular, though it was generally pleasant and was a nice environment to take a calm afternoon walk in.
We booked dinner at the Pebbles Resturant, we usually always opt to have dinner within the hotel / resort where possible because to us the whole point of a vacation is the conveniences that come with it! You know how some restaurants either look good with day light or are better at night because of the interior design? Well this place looked pretty cheap at night, which instantly made me think the food wouldn’t be great. Boy as I wrong, the food was amazing! Fantastic presentation and taste π
Fortunately we did have breakfast booked the next morning at the same restaurant and during the day, with the huge windows and loads of natural light, the entire restaurant looked completely different and was stunning!
I would highly recommend Pepper Moonah Links as a great little getaway if you live in Melbourne, and if you love golfing then even more so π And if you want a bit more a real time preview into my stay, be sure to check out the video down below!
