Happy New Year everyone! Seems like all my recent posts over the last year+ has been me stating the obvious “wow it’s been a while since I last posted here huh?”. So let’s ignore that and move right along.
It’s 2020, I managed to take two weeks off work during the Christmas and New Years break and…. wow, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. Grantly I required a lot of persuading from Tobias who had to literally hold me back from either cancelling my leave to work or book a holiday. He insisted we stay at home, relax, working on our side businesses etc. I truly have the best husband who knows me so well π
I didn’t realise how desperately I needed this break. I was running into all sorts of poor mental head spaces in 2019, it was just not a good year. For most people looking in that would certainly not appear to be the case, nothing really stood out. I think the older I get, the more tired I get of living a life that I don’t find personally fulfilling. And I think 2019 it really came to a head for me.
In the video I linked above I went into detail regarding the 2019 and 2020 resolutions and how I went, plans for my channels etc. So check it out if you’re interested!
In a nut shell, I’m going to invest more of my time into all my side projects / hustles, which has always been my goal, however the blocker I kept hitting in 2019 is that a bad day at work or a bad day with a loved one would leave my paralysed for the rest of the evening and beyond to the point I couldn’t do anything productive except binge watch Youtube.
During my time off I realised there are small triggers and “to dos” I can keep track of that will hopefully help pull me out of a bad day, refocus my attention and keep me on track to eventually building the life I want. If you want to read more into what’s going on in my head, all my ramblings and contemplations about life then I’ve created a separate blog at Tell Me Your Fable, titled after my vlogging channel. I intend to use both those outlets next year to ramble and release any anxiety and stress into the world to help grow and stay focused.
As for Fables in Fashion, both the channel and the blog, I want to pull back and refocus on the original topics I had set out for them. Less “whinging about life” posts, and more on fashion, beauty, lifestyle, travel etc. I’ve also got a couple extra websites and blogs coming up that I’ll hopefully share in the coming months, which may sound just a bit crazy but no worries, I’ve got a plan π
Anyways, here is to 2020! The next post you see here will likely be a fashion related one π And I can’t wait, it is good to be back π
