A couple of weekends ago Toby, Violet, Jimmy and myself drove out to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival. If the weather was just a little bit better, it was pretty much the perfect place to visit for a couple of couples (see what I did there!) who are all photography obsessed.
The Tulip Festival has been running for around 60 years now, started initially by Cees and Johanna Tesselaar, who left Holland on their wedding day and set up home out in the Dandenong Ranges. They began growing tulips and the rest is history~
Despite the crowds, the tulips were absolutely amazing, I’ve never seen anything like this before! I regret not bringing out my DSLR to take more photos, instead I usually prefer to tote around a mirrorless camera instead purely due to weight.
I can’t wait to them to bloom again next year, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend all of you attend next year ๐

I’ve never missed a year since I’ve came to Melbourne but I had no choice but to give it a skip this year due to university. I can’t wait for next year’s tulip festival tho!
I loved the pictures you’ve posted and I’ve kinda observed that you have a soft spot for the dark purple tulips. XD
