Between a sunrise and a sunset, I’d have to say sunrises win every time. Not only are they much harder to find (as most people aren’t willing to wake up in pitch black to watch the sun emerge over the horizon), but in my opinion and experience are a lot more difficult to shoot. It’s almost always freezing (no sun to heat us up!) and knowing exactly where the sun will rise isn’t as easy as you may think (unless you’ve got a clear shot of East). So each time Toby and I manage to struggle out of bed early enough to catch the first few bands of light appear is always a moment worth cherishing.
