Since the pandemic the way we work has changed for a lot of us, and working from home has become a major part of our ways of working. Working from home can bring about so many great benefits (no commute time, which means more time with family and self care), at the same time it can also carry a bunch of downsides. One of them being the challenge to differ between work mode and home mode, especially if you’re using the same space for both modes. This was certainly the case for me. My work is 100% all on the computer and I’d say outside of work beside household commitments my time is also 100% on the computer at the same desk. So I’ve had to find ways to switch my mind set so I’m not dragging either world into each other, and one of the ways is coming up with the perfect work from home makeup routine!
A lot of people I know from work don’t see the point in “dressing” up for work when they work from home, but are completely opposite when it comes to physically being in the office. For me personally, being dressed up at home helps me stay focused on work and prevents me from being distracted by things at home. So if you’re struggling to keep a clean boundary between your work and home life when working from home, I highly recommend you give this technique a shot! And watch my video below to see my recommended routine, especially if you’re looking for a makeup routine that will help enhance your appearance on video chat as the type of makeup you need for video in comparison to real life is pretty different.
