When it comes to eye cream, I’ve never been 100% sure whether a dedicated one was needed or not. You hear a lot of people say they aren’t because the ingredients in standard moisturisers are the same. Then you hear others say that isn’t true and that the skin around your eyes is far more delicate and so needs a separate product.
Given that the argument ultimately comes down to saving money (you don’t suffer by having an eye cream but you COULD if you don’t use one), I live by the philosophy (like my mother does) that I’d rather spend more on skin care and sacrifice else way, that’s just me π
I don’t have any major issues with the skin under my eyes, I do have two very fine lines that no one except myself seems to be able to see π But I see them and they are accentuated when I wear heavy concealer just below my eyes. So I’ve been searching for products to help soften them or at least prevent them from getting worse (slow them down)
I tend to look for creams aimed at dry skins as I figured lack of hydration could be my problem and so far I’m really enjoying this particular eye cream. There aren’t really any anti-aging properties in it, but this eye cream is incredibly rich and hydrating. I use it as part of my morning and night time skin care routine and have generally found this does help to soften my fine line but by only a little bit.
Honestly unless you’re as obsessive as I am you may not notice a difference, but I felt that it at least helped soften the appearance of fine lines by a tiny bit so long as I continued to use it. There was a period where I had to stop due to travel and my skin defaulted back to normal.
That said this formula is very hydrating, I do suffer from very dry patches on some areas around my eyes sometimes and this moisturiser with a hydrating booster did help my skin recover.
If you’ve got no huge / major issues with the skin under your eyes then I reckon this is worth taking a look at. I’m very close to finish this off over the next 1-2 weeks and will be moving onto something with anti-aging properties to see how they go π
