If you’re someone who loves the feeling of being in a salon without actually being in one then this nifty device might be something to consider. It does look a little strange at first, and admittedly I didn’t really know what it was when the people at Conair first sent it to me. It just looked so different from the norm and I thought it would be great to share it with you on the blog.
This device is essentially a face steamer, but it released either hot steam or cool mist, it can go either way. Essentially you set it to the temperature you want, wait for it to start working and then lower your face into the bowl for however long you need. The idea is for the cool mist to help provide hydration to your face, which I personally don’t use. However what I did find interesting was the steamer.
This worked a treat when trying to open up my pores for either pore strips or blackhead removal creams. Typically I’ll run a towel under some hot water and place it over my face to open my pores, but it’s not always the more convenient way and I have accidently burn my face a few times. So having steam that I can control makes it a lot easier. It comes with timed intervals that shut the steam off, personally I prefer just sitting it to the longest interval and just turning the machine completely off when I feel I’ve had enough. I prefer to play it by ear and let myself feel how I go each session.
The down side is this device does take up quite a bit of bench space, so it’s certainly worth having some space to store this away when not in use.
If you’re interested, you can check this out at any local departmental store for $69.95AUD.
