Fashion brands delving into the world of cosmetics appears to be quite the growing trend recently~ Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Gucci soon and now Tory Burch!
Admittedly I don’t own anything from the Tory Burch fashion line, but to be fair I don’t believe Tory Burch is officially sold in Australia to begin with! I’d love to own a pair of her flats, but I just can’t risk ordering such expensive shoes online without at least trying them on first.
Makeup however is a risk I’m happy to invest in, I decided to try out three products from the launch and share my thoughts π
The three items I managed to obtain was the Lip Colour in Pas du Tout, the Lip & Cheek Tint in Cat’s Meow and Bronzer, Blush and Highlighter Palette in Divine.
My thoughts in one sentence is that Tory Burch is a great brand for natural / subtle makeup with not so subtle packaging at an even less subtle price.
The packaging in my opinion is gorgeous, I love the gold on orange combo, though I know it’s not for everyone. The product is beautifully done and gives the brand a luxurious feel that really stands out. Added bonus however is not all the packaging is metal and so it doesn’t weight a ton either!
Both the lipstick and cream blush have a lovely subtle grapefruit / mandarin scent, certainly not offensive at all and one of my favourite makeup scents.
The pigmentation is why I think this brand is really aimed more for the girl (or guy) who prefers natural beauty because the colours are soft and nude. The lipstick and cream lip/blush would be barely visible for anyone with a strong natural lip colour. The blush/highlighter compact however does give a beautiful burnt coral flush when mixed together, though I was almost too scared to use it given it’s beautiful design!
Quality however is not a bit lacking, I loved how easily all this products applied, without any effort. They go on smoothly, the lip products are moisturising and they last a decent amount of time (probably 5-6 hours before fading).
If anyone was looking of high quality natural makeup with beautiful packaging, I could not recommend Tory Burch more. Unfortunately the colour selection right now is incredibly limited, but I hope that will change soon π
If you are interested, the Bronzer, Blush & Highlighter Palette in Divine retails for $48USD, the Lip Colour in Pas du Tout retails for $32USD and Lip & Cheek Tint in Cat’s Meow goes for $38USD. Certainly not for the budget conscious!

I have a Tory Burch wool skirt (which is in desperate need of tailoring) that I got from a consignment shop in Clifton Hill that also has shoes and bags… I didn’t see any of the flats, but I wasn’t looking especially hard either. Is it sad that the thing I like most from this collection is the pouch for the palette (and not even the palette itself)?

Oooh! I want to try on a few pairs when I head into the US this year, at least see if they are comfortable or not!
lol clearly packaging appeals to you ;D

I have a pair of Reva’s that I got on Rodeo Drive…wearing them in that same day shopping probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do as I’ve heard that they’re uncomfortable until worn in, but I’ve had no issues with mine. I’d say they’re pretty true to size, if you know your exact US size, I’d say go for it!

Oooh thanks for the recommendation! I browse though them constantly on Shopbop π

Beautifully packaged, very much in keeping with her trademark shoes. I’d love a pair of her flats but I’m also very hesitant to order shoes online – have had so many issues in the past and seem to get it wrong every time!

Hi!!! What is the name of the Mac shade that you swatched next to Tory Burch’s “Pretty Baby”??
Thanks so much!

Oh my gosh! I can’t believe I didn’t bother to write the name down! I think it was Syrup! Thank you for asking π
