I’ve long heard of the brand the Balm, but didn’t take much notice of it until one day I saw a new stand completely dedicated to it at David Jones. Finally, I got a chance to play and decided I would (like most internet savvy shoppers) test out what I’d like and then high tail over to their online website to place an order!
I decided to try out their face powder since the current two powders I’m working my way through are a bit too cakey for me π So glad I did pick this up because I love it π
Despite its appearance in the pan, it really is a translucent powder and is extremely lightweight. Upon application it feels like you’re are applying almost no product, but it is still able to completely mattify your face.
The reason I love this powder over the others is the fact that it is so lightweight, you can’t even tell you’re wearing any powder! Most of the powders I’ve tried so far are too cakey, and if I try to apply less, my face will still appear oily.
And because this is a translucent powder, this will suit all skin tones, so I highly recommend it to all π It’s my new favourite face powder!
If you’re keen, you can purchase this for $19US online.

How did this fare on fine lines under the eyes? Like you, most powders I’ve tried are too cakey. They make me look tired when I use it under my eyes to set BB Cream

Hrm. You know i’ve always ignored this because of the color in the pan. I Just purchased MAC’s Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder but if that doesn’t work out for me i’ll probably try this next!

Yes! The colour is very deceiving I find! Definitely try it out in store if you can π
