SUQQU is a brand I’ve seen floating around the net for a while now, but I’ve never bothered to take the plunge to try it until now. I decided when I saw the Spring 2012 colours that it was finally time! I managed to pick up a few items, which I can safely say I am currently using on an almost daily basis! I’m officially in love with this brand, and today I’ll do a review on their Bright Veil Face powder, which for all intense purposes is a highlighting / face powder.
The compact is structured uniquely, the powder seems to sit in a clear pan? So you can actually see it from the bottom (or top) or the compact. Open it and you’ll find one side has a mirror that sits in a middle divider. A brush is kept on the other side which seems to work really well, but when I’m home I’d rather just use my regular face brush.
The powder comes in two tones, which I’ve swatched individually. I found the powder to be incredibly soft to the touch, almost literally like touching velvet. I reckon if I pressed hard enough I could even leave a dent in it!
What surprised me however is how even and soft the distribution is when applied to your face. It doesn’t appear too pigmented or cakey, it gives your face this very subtle glow. Not as obvious as the highlighters I tend to use, but just enough for it to be noticeable.
So far my introduction to SUQQU has been fruitful, but not for my wallet X_x; I’ve not come across any local brands that are at this quality, I’m truly amazed and highly recommend you try them if given the opportunity π

I’ve only seen Lisa Eldridge use her products on YouTube and she seems to love their brushes but even she mentioned that they’re expensive! Oh but those swatches and the full face shot you posted are sooo pretty π

Thank you!! I wish they weren’t so expensive, I desperately want to try the cheek brush but I can’t justify spending over $100AU on a brush π

That’s very pretty! I like highlighters that give only a subtle glow to skin.

Same! Something I could use everyday π
