A couple of months ago I was up in Olinda with Sefie, checking out all the cute little boutique shops. It’s not something I’ve ever done before, and I was surprised how much I loved it! I almost never take time to just “browse” stores, I’m very go in, go out sort of shopper. Will certainly try and do stuff like that more often, because it’s amazing what sort of things you can discover, such as Soap Opera.
Soap Opera is a modern looking spa that has recently opened over the Easter break in April, and we were luckily enough to stumble upon it on it’s opening day (freaky I know).
I went in to check out the products, and knew I wanted to at least walk away with something! Unfortunately most of their products, whilst claiming to be all natural, were rather expensive and had some pretty strong scents (not fantastic first impressions for me personally) so I decided to try out their lip balm as it had a scent I liked.
I loved the cute packaging, despite the fact it was in a tub, I don’t really mind it. It doesn’t feel too greasy upon application and my lips did feel softer. The smell is refreshing and it does feel very lightweight on the lips.
But the feeling didn’t last very long. And maybe it wasn’t supposed to, I don’t know. By around the 1-2 hr mark I couldn’t feel it on my lips anymore and needed to re-apply.
Overall, it’s a nice lip balm, it’s cute, it is travel friendly and I’d recommend it to people as a summer lip balm. In the colder months when skin really does get dry, this wouldn’t cut it, but in summer when you just want a light coating, this would be perfect. I’ll be putting it away till Summer time rolls around 🙂

I have never heard of Olinda before xD Ahaha.
But mmm, it kind of reminds me of one of those old Chinese medicine balm things that is used for itchy spots …. ;~;

lol! Olinda is up in the Dandy Mountains, I like going up there for photoshoots (I shot this coming Friday’s Book of Fables up there!).
Yes! It’s called Tiger Balm right? We use it at home for itchy spots too 😀 😀
