After the release of the Natasha Denona I Need a Warm palette I decided to poke around her entire range a little more as it’s been a hot minute that I’ve tried anything from her collection that wasn’t an eyeshadow palette. I came across a few hidden gems, one of them being the Natasha Denona HY Glam Concealer. I wasn’t expecting to love this formula so much, but this concealer has finally convinced to me branch out beyond the Tarte Shape Tape concealer that I’ve been using for years and try a bunch of new brands. The Natasha Denona HY Glam Concealer is available at Sephora Australia for $54AUD, or Ulta for Beautylish for $30USD.
Application
I think this concealer convinced me that all good concealers should come with a tear drop applicator similar to this one, the sharper tip makes it so easy to apply the product as close to the inner corner of my eye as I like without having to push it further in later with a brush. The formula is incredible creamy and extremely easy to blend. I ended up getting the shade N3, which when I swatched it initially on my wrist I was certain that the shade I had purchased as much too dark for me, but I decided to try it anyways and surprisingly it looked seamless under my eyes. However if I wanted to highlight the area under my eye like my Tarte Shape Tape usually does, then I would certainly need to go for a lighter shade.
Pigmentation is very strong so just a little bit goes a long way, but it’s also very build-able so even if you apply just the tiniest amount and feel like you could use a bit more coverage, it dries down relatively fast so you could go back in for a second layer pretty soon.
The finish for this concealer is matte, which means it’s also not naturally hydrating (though it is not drying either), but I would recommend that you ensure your under eyes and skin is generally very well hydrated before applying this product. You can see in my own photos that on my right side where the product is applied it concealers beautifully but it does make my fine lines a little more visible, likely because my under eyes were not hydrated enough but I also may have used a bit too much product. So I recommend going in with a lighter hand and build up if you think you need it.
Wear
I generally only use concealer under my eyes so I can only speak to the wear there, and I found the overall wear time to be really good. All still pretty intact by the end of my day, however I will note that if I went in too heavy handed at the start of the day, I noticed my fine lines showing through just a little bit more than they usually would. I typically avoid powder on my face due to my dry skin, but if I want to avoid this scenario then I’ll usually top with just a little bit of translucent powder which keeps it in place.

Overall
As I eluded to at the start of this post, I really love this concealer. I think it wears really well on my skin and I find it works well for days when I don’t want to wear much makeup and on other days when I want to go full glam, I just need to make sure the amount I apply a minimal enough to make an impact without being too thick. Would highly recommend this concealer, and am considering getting a slightly lighter shade to see if that lighter shade could help highlight my under eyes better.
