I’ve not really heard many things regarding NP’s mascara range, good nor bad. This particular mascara came free from a magazine whose name I can’t remember anymore. To be honest I don’t really get into the habit of purchasing paper based magazines anymore, partly because I can get them cheaper in a digital form (bit more environmentally free and less clutter at home) and I prefer to read blogs instead.
But if a magazine comes with a free product, it’ll peak my interest. Especially if it’s something I haven’t tried before. And that’s the story of how this mascara ended up in my possession.
The sad thing is I haven’t been able to find this particular mascara on the NP website for sale at all, so I can’t even give you a price nor stock list for purchase.
But for the most part I don’t think that’s a huge loss as I’m sure you’ll easily find a dupe for it.
To be fair, I’m more about volumising thickening mascaras, and less about the ones that define, which this one does. It does give the illusion of more lashes, but that’s mainly because it is defining each of your existing lashes without clumping them together (which a lot of volumising mascaras tend to do).
For me this is more a “casual” mascara, one I might use when I’m trying to go low key, but just want to give my eyes a little something to stand out more. Currently however as I tend to like to layer my mascaras, I’m using this as my first coat of mascara and then cover it with a more volumising mascara. Yeah I go through weird phases sometimes!
If you’re interesting, I wish I could tell you where to buy it but I can’t 🙁
