I’m always on the look out to find the perfect products for my hair, mostly because my hair is incredibly long and very hard to manage and if I don’t do the right thing aka if I’m lazy and skip conditioner after using shampoo my hair will pay me back 10 folds for the following few days. It becomes incredibly frizzy, refuses to stay in place, constantly flies in my face and much more. Yay for me! So I was pretty excited to give these babies a try when Morocconoil so generously provided them for me to try out. I’m pretty happy to say that both of these are amazing!
Morocconoil Intense Hydrating Mask
If you’re someone who loves to abuse your hair with a ton of heat styling, then this masque may be perfect for you. I use this around once a week and every time I use it my hair feels incredible soft and silky afterwards.
What I’ll do is first shampoo my hair, then apply this mask on starting from my shoulders down, pin my hair up and complete the rest of my “shower”, then before I get out I’ll rise it out. The tub recommends you leave this mask in for around 5-7 minutes which is appropriately how long I’ll leave this in for most times.
A few times, I’ve managed to leave it in my hair, step out of the shower momentarily for around 15 mins, and then wash it off. And honestly when I leave it in for that long, it leaves my hair noticeable softer and silkier! Not that I recommend doing that often, but it’s good to know it can work that way too!
Morocconoil Oil Treatment Light
Ah, my favourite of the two products! I’ve been through quite a few different oils in the past. Chi and Matrix to name a couple, but neither of these compared to this one by Morocconoil. A very little bit goes a long way.
How I use this is after my shower, I’ll towel dry my hair, take a 5/10 center piece amount, rub it between my hands and then work it into the tips of my hair. Then I’ll blow dry my hair and then style it with a straighter or curler.
I noticed quite a big difference between this and other oils, this one in particular leaves my hair feeling much softer and much easier to run my fingers through the ends of my hair.
I believe this oil comes in two version, the one I have is the light version and then there is the original. Personally because my hair is so thick and dark, the original formula would suit me just fine, whereas the light formula is designed for fine or light coloured hair. The light formula works fine for me too, which makes me think people with dark hair can go either way, but if you have lighter hair then stick with the lighter formula.
Once I finish this mini bottle, I intend to splurge on the much larger bottle which I believe comes with a pump now! (Though I’ll keep this mini guy for travel)
If you’re interested, the mask retails for $49.50AU and the Oil for 100ml at $55AU at most salons.

I have the Shine spray one but I find I have to use too much product to get my hair to look good which is a shame for the high prices. I’ll only use it for a special occasion. I usually use Herbal essences instead.

Oooh, I’m tempted to try it out to see what it’s like! Thanks 🙂
