Introducing a set of creamy pencil liners recently released by Mirenesse, they were kind enough to send me a handful of their liners to try out for you guys~!
Before even trying these, the liners immediately made me think of Urban Decay’s 24/7 Liners, Savvy by DB Luxury Liners and NYX Glide On liners. And not surprisingly, these liners perform in a very similar manner. They literally glide on with minimal effort, they apply very smooth and creamy.
But the real test to me is how these liners apply to my waterline, not just the back of my wrist or upper lash line. Admittedly, I find that with these sorts of liners, the initial swatch is probably the “roughest”, and I say that cautiously because rough doesn’t mean there is any pulling at all. What I mean is I find these liners apply even gentler and pigmented once you’ve sharpened them down a little to reveal a “fresher” surface.
I wouldn’t say these glide on as creamy as the Urban Decay liners which are so far the softest of all the liners mentioned in this post, but its a lot better than Savvy by DB which I find over time has lost a lot of its creaminess.
However when it comes to longevity, Savvy by DB is still the winner. I applied the Mirenesse liners on both my upper lash line, water line and lower lash line. I found that the upper lash line lasted the entire day without any wear, lower lash line was a little worse for wear, there was quite a bit of smudging. And the pigmentation on the water line had completely vanished after 4-5 hrs of wear. Still a great liner for perhaps a night out, and perfect for your upper lash line during the day~
Not sure about the whole 27hr claim, I’ve only ever worn makeup for more than 24hrs when I was taking a 12 hr flight straight after a full day of work to go back to Australia, and keeping track of what my make up looked like at that time was the least of my concerns hehe
If you’re interested, you can purchase each liner for $39US from their online store.
