Pressed pigments have been quite the rage this last year or two 馃檪 Lanc么me has finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and I couldn’t stop myself from wanting to try out a few of them~ I’m such a fan of pressed pigments, they usually give much better pigmentation than traditional pressed eye shadows.
Unlike the similar Chanel and Giorgio Armani counterparts, the packaging for these are made out of plastic, not glass. Which means they don’t feel as luxurious, but they are much lighter to tote around. Each eye shadow comes with a presser to keep the eye shadow compact.
Quality wise these surprised me in two ways. One, they aren’t as “moist” as Chanel and Giorgio Armani are. Not that those were moist, but they did have a more creamy texture, whereas the Lanc么me version truly just feels like normal pigments that have been firmly pressed into a container. So they are dry and can have the tendency to flake out if you aren’t careful.
That aside, the application for these were fine! The swatches demonstrate how pigmented these eye shadows are, they are a dream to apply (better with fingers as is usually the case for most pressed pigments).
All on all, these are really quite nice and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending these to people who are a fan of pressed pigments 馃檪 Finally as for wear, I have no idea if these really do last the full 24 hrs, because I don’t plan to wear makeup for that long, but for a full day at work these held up fine so long as I used an eye primer.
If you are interested, you can purchase these online at $24.50US a pop. Still not entirely sure if and when they are making their way to our Aussie shores.
