Earlier this year Lancôme released a new and improved version of Lancome’s Genifique, called Advanced Genifique. For those who aren’t familiar with Genifique, it is essentially one of the skin care ranges in the Lancôme suite. Genifique is aimed at bringing out the youth in people’s skin, so to me it’s kind of that line meant for people say past their 20s but still under 40s or 50s.
Lancôme kindly provided the their newest serum for me to try out and I decided to purchase the corresponding Visionnare for myself so I could use both these serum together, which is something Lancôme heavily promotes and recommends. For the most part I’m going to be focusing on Genifique in this review and how it works with Visionnare, if you want a more detailed review on Visionnare then just let me know in the comments below 🙂
I personally use Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate as a night time serum, directly after my toner. I love the new dropper they have incorporated with this formula, it’s basically a self-loading dropper that extracts enough product for your entire face. Honestly I probably use half if not less per full pump for each use, but thanks for the packaging it is very easy to extract half a pump.
The formula is mostly clear with just a slight milky consistency, and it absorbs into the skin exceptionally well and fast. My night time skincare uses a number of different serums that I love to layer so this particular serum is always the first I apply.
After I allow the formula to absorb, I will then apply one full pump of the Visionnaire all over my face.
The two formulas felt nice to use together, but I can’t admit to seeing any drastic results, though generally my skin has been smoother and well tempered. It did however feel lovely to use on the skin and I had absolutely no adverse reaction to it.
If you’re interested, the new Genifique formula retails locally at David Jones or Myer at $55AU for 20ml, $88AU for 30ml, $125AU for 50ml and $170AU for 75ml.
