Giorgio Armani not so recently released their Bronze 2012 collection that had an array of lip products, Eyes of Kills and this face palette. I thought this palette would be a great addition to my collection, as it seemed similar to Benefit’s 10 Powder Box, only the inverse. Generally when I go out, my main face products are blushes and highlighters, not so much bronzers, so this seemed perfect for me.
The palette contains a highlighter called White Foam and a soft pink blush called Seashell Pink. In theory this seemed like the perfect palette for me, I could sweep the brush along it and then right across my cheek to apply the blush and highlighter in the one go.
Unfortunately it doesn’t always work out that way, for some reason the powder in this palette is not very pigmented (which surprised me given it’s Giorgio Armani!). It took almost 6-7 sweeps of the brush to get the effect you see on my cheeks below. The formula is so hard that I wasn’t able to swatch both shades on my arm, and instead had to use my direct fingers which always manages to pick up a more unrealistic amount of product than what you would get via a normal application.
It’s too bad because once I did get enough product on my cheeks, the shades were actually really subtle and beautiful, something I would wear everyday if I could. But I can’t see myself willing to work this hard each time I try to apply this product.
You can purchase this product for $59US from Nordstrom or direct from Giorgio Armani’s website, I personally wouldn’t recommend it, but if you are keen then try and test it in person first.
