Slightly late to the party, but I wanted to show with you the Swimming Pool palette from Dior’s Summer 2012 collection 🙂 The collection consists of two eye shadow palettes, the first which I will review today (the second another day).
This palette consists of five pastel based colours, and this review is going to be pretty short because long story short, this palette is very disappointing. As you can probably tell from the swatches below, the pigmentation for this palette is pretty awful. The darkest blue probably swatched the best, but once on the lid it was just poor form. The colours are stunning in the pan and this palette is beautiful to look at, but if it doesn’t wear well, what’s the point?
So save yourself the money (if you haven’t already) and give it a miss.

I originally wanted to get this palette because of how good it looks on the palette. Now that I’ve seen the swatches and just how sheer the colours are, I’m definitely giving this a pass. Not worth the money if I can’t see much >.<

I agree with Tine. I wanted to get my hands on these palettes, but after seeing the swatches I’ll have to pass. The colors are way too sheer, especially considered the price.

These colours didn’t really jump out at me in the palette, they aren’t ones I would get a lot of use out of. Sad that the pigmentation is below par:(

Eh…….I mean the IDEA of these is lovely. A beautiful watercolor eye. But the problem is that they haven’t executed it very well. They mistook soft color for soft pigmentation. Saaaad~
