To me, the Dior Addict range is the Rouge Coco Shines of the Dior line. I’ve thus far found them to be almost as hydrating (close, but not the same) and provide a good level of pigmentation. The colour I’ll be focusing on today is called Jet Set. I know this shade was either released late last year or early this year, but I’ve got no idea exactly when!
Jet Set is a beautiful orangey coral shade with the finest of micro shimmers. When swatched you realise that the pigmentation isn’t as strong as it may appear in the bullet, and then when you apply it to the lips, you again realise that the shade is far more subtle. It’s not completely sheer, but because isn’t completely opaque, it allows some of your natural lip colour to show through giving you a pinky coral look when applied.
The formula is slightly hydrating but if you suffer from dry lips then I do recommend you apply some lip balm before hand.
The only issue I have with Dior lipsticks is the packaging. Yes, it’s gorgeous! But when you’re someone like me and have far too many to count, it gets very difficult to determine which shade is which without literally opening up the tube to check. The writing at the bottom is in white, against a mirror silver backdrop making it difficult to read. And even if I could read them, because of the “door handle” at the top of the lipstick, I can’t even turn them upside down easily so that at least the names face up.
As a result unless I have time to go through each colour to determine which one I want, I don’t end up using these lipsticks as much as I should 🙁 I guess I need to figure out a new way to store them.
If you are interested, you can purchase these online for $31USD.
