Throughout this summer I’ve been working my way through a number of sunscreens to find one that suits me. Something not too greasy, something with a high level of SPF and something without a heavy scent.
I was given this sunscreen in my MBBE goodie bag late last year and finally got around to using it when I went to visit Inverloch a while back. As almost all my day time skin care contains SPF in it, I only use sunscreen on the rest of my body. In the past I’ve always used the Cancer Council products, but as it actually gives Toby rashes, I’ve decided to move on to something else.
I’ve found this sunscreen to sink into the skin relatively quickly, within 15 mins or so. I wouldn’t say it’s completely non-greasy, but sets at a level I’m comfortable enough with. The fact that it is a physical sunscreen is a big plus too as I do not like using chemical sunscreens. I don’t mind products that give me a white cast at all.
The only thing I wish I could change is both to bump up the SPF level to 30+ and get rid of the strange herbal scent. I know the company claims there are no added fragrances in this product, so maybe it’s just the natural scent of sunscreen, but I’m not a huge fan. Luckily, the scent disappears quickly upon application.
All in all, I will certainly finish using up this sunscreen 🙂

I like herbal scents myself! But SPF 20 seems a bit mild for upcoming spring/summer here in the States.

Is true, I’m a sucker for SPF50+!
