Coffret D’Or is a Japanese brand that lives under their parent company, Kanebo Cosmetics. I think this particular blush was released end of last year, can’t say for sure. The product is a gorgeous coral / peach blush with a highlighter and give a very soft brightening colour to the cheeks.
The packaging is not the most travel friendly, I’m not sure if you can tell from the photos but since the brush is stored above the blush (there is a plastic holder for it so the brush isn’t sitting directly on the blush), it forces the packaging to be much larger. Especially since the brush is like a mini kabuki, rather than a flat brush.
Space efficient? No, but this brush unlike others is actually usable and I’ve been using this brush to apply my blush instead of my standard blush brush.
I apply the brush by swirling it in a clock-wise motion to pick up each of the three peach shades. The result is a subtle frosty peach shade. If you wanted more peach than frost, you can simply apply the peach shade and avoid the frost around the edge.
Some down sides to this blush, it’s not as pigmented as I’d like to it be. You know I’m not a fan of heavily pigmented blushes, but I need to go in a few times to build up the pigmentation on one cheek which is far too much effort than I’m willing to put in every day. That’s the thing, I wouldn’t use this blush in a Book of Fables chapter or a photo shoot because it’s far too sheer.
It’s a beautiful blush, perfect for everyday if you have a bit of patience to apply.
This blush set me back I think around $25AU.

Too much money for the lack of pigmentation I think. I’m glad the brush is useable but it hardly makes up for it.

Agreed, I wish it was less frosty and more pink 🙁
