Chantecaille is really one of those brands I wish I could experience more of, but their prices can be so extravagant, often it feels unattainable. This highlighter / illuminating face powder is a good example of what I mean. As you can already see in the photos, this is an exquisite product.
Beautifully crafted with a kaleidoscope of different colours that when blended together gives a beautiful slightly pink tinted sheen to the skin. Some of their products, especially those designed to raise funds and awareness of mother earth (another reason I love this brand) are truly works of art. For this product, the design in the powder represents crushed rose petals.
Depending on where you purchase this product, it can be referred to as a face powder or a highlighter. And quite honestly it can be used as both if used correctly. If used as a face powder, just the lightest of dustings is needs to achieve a soft glow. I would however use this more as a finishing powder on top of your regular face powder if you’re looking for something to set your foundation. If you put on enough of this to actually set your foundation, you’ll run the risk of looking like a bit of a grease ball.
That said, a few applications to build this up with give you a healthy sheen, as shown in my photo. This is as example of about 2-3 applications on my cheekbone and I think it gives a very natural looking sheen.
The product itself is incredibly soft and silky but not as pigmented as you might think, hence the option to use as a face powder or highlighter. Like most Chantecaille products, it’s well made and the packaging very unique. Though easy to mix up with their traditional face powder if you own both, they look exactly the same, much like many other high end products.
If you’re interested, this product it goes for a shocking price of $74US from Nordstrom.

That looks very beautiful on your face Celina, I haven’t tried anything from there but I have read the reviews of their eye palettes over the years. Seems like a lovely high end brand π

I have been searching for this product for a while but haven’t been able to get it shipped to Australia. Do Nordstrom ship to Melbourne?
Celina says
No, but the way I do it is I purchase it from Nordstrom, but state that my shipping address is the one provided by HopShopGo, so I do need to pay additional shipping fees when HopShopGo sends it to Melbourne, but given the price difference in cosmetics it is still cheaper than buying here! Plus the range in Nordstrom beats the one in Australia by a long shot.
