When it comes to limited edition powders, Chanel never disappoints! This new illuminating powder, which I personally view as a highlighter is no exception. The design as you can already tell is exquisite, and it was yet another product I felt very reluctant to use and swatch! Too beautiful to use~
This powder is released by Chanel is part of their the Printemps Precieux de Chanel Spring 2013 collection, and provides a beautiful slightly golden sheer highlight. If you’re looking for a product with a lot of pigmentation, this won’t even come close. This is perfect for off the camera looks and looks beautiful in person with just a couple of swipes.
But for the highlight to even slightly appear in the photo I did need to do a few more swipes to enhance the pigmentation. The powder is finely milled, but also very sheer. Almost feels baked to a certain degree.
The reality is, as is with most Chanel powders, you aren’t purchasing a product this artistic and expensive for practical reasons. You’re either a beauty blogger like myself, someone who appreciates beautiful things or perhaps you’ve got a bit of extra cash on you.
Still it’s a beautiful powder and would make an amazing gift to any makeup lover 🙂
If you’re interested, you can pick up one for yourself for $68US at Nordstrom, but be quick because this is a limited edition product.
