How incredibly beautiful is this palette? The minute I saw it, in true Celina fashion I knew I had to have it! I’m such an easy target for marketers…
Anyways, this is a limited edition Chanel Eyeshadow Quad (Ombre Fleuries) in the shade Delicatesse, and it comes as part of Chanel’s Les Delices de Chanel, I don’t believe it is their official Spring 2014 line, but it is released in part to celebrate Spring. It is contains four eyeshadows, a ultra shimmery metallic moss green, a frosty white, shimmer baby pink and almost matte burgundy shade.
In terms of quality, I would say it is above average. It’s a cross between the baked shadows and the pressed shadows. It’s got good pigmentation, but I wouldn’t say it was outstanding. You’d need to go back a couple of times to build up strong colours on the eyes.
I wore this look for the entire day to see how it would last, it’s a pretty simple blended out look as I wanted something wearable for the day. I did use a primer and found the look lasted the entire day without any fading! So whether that was the primer or the eye shadow is hard for me to say, but it was difficult to apply these shadows without a primer.
The colour selection is cute and interesting, but not very practical for the everyday girl. Especially given how shimmery these shadows are, depending on what you do during the day, definitely not suitable for the office environment I work in 🙂 Definitely more of a special collectible palette in my opinion!
