I’ve always been so used to using creamy eye primers that melt in my skin, I’ve never really tried a primer in this form before. Admittedly this product was more an impulse buy, I’ve never read any reviews or heard anything about it before. I thought the design was interesting and just went for it.
Honestly? As an eye primer designed to prolong the longevity of your eye shadow and prevent it from creasing, it’s great. That’s exactly what it does. For me personally I didn’t notice any additional vibrancy with my eye shadow application.
But there is one big draw back with a primer like this, and it’s how it tends to pull a lot on my lids. The formula is pretty thick, even thicker than a NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil, which means to apply it, it will pull on your lids. Something I thought was just a terrible idea for an eye primer. The skin around your eyes is the most delicate and to create an eye product designed to tug on it just seems silly.
I tried applying some to a brush and my fingers, but the product was too dry and thick to evenly apply to my lids. It had to be directly from the pencil.
Definitely won’t be repurchasing and honestly will likely throw this out. This product is going for $20US online.
