As a beauty blogger, I go through literally hundreds of products a year! All for the sake of the blog of course (not because I have a problem…), and it’s very easy to get swept up in reviewing items that have just come out and keeping up with the release of what’s new and in. It’s pretty easy to lose focus on staples you love and use daily, such as what I’d like to call the Best Facial Sunscreen ever! Of course that’s just my personal opinion 🙂 Though admittedly I had been through about 15 different brands before landing on Biore.
Biore, the asian branch has a number of sunscreen lines and I’ve tried them all. They actually all work perfectly for me, but I have to say the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF 50 is my all-time favourite, I’ve easily gone through 3 tubes already with another 4 stashed away.
The key reasons I love this sunscreen is:
- Doesn’t feel greasy on the face
- Dries very fast, works as a great base for makeup
- SPF 50
- Doesn’t cause my foundation (liquid / cream / powder) to roll upon application
The last point was the most important for me, because every single sunscreen I had tried before Biore would cause my foundation to roll as I applied it. I tried so many ways to counter this, letting my sunscreen dry for 45 mins (which isn’t easy in the mornings, I had to wake up at 5am, 1 hr before I usually wake up!), I would use a facial primer, I would apply thin amounts etc. I tried everything and was going slightly crazy trying to find a way to incorporate sunscreen into my skincare routine without destroying my makeup. It’s one of the major reasons why I stopped wearing foundation during the day. That is until I discovered Biore from my good friend Ponikuta.
I can’t rave about this sunscreen enough, this sunscreen combined with Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion+ are my two morning staples that I can’t see myself ever changing!
Unfortunately Biore’s asian branch is not that easy to find outside of Asia, however a website I’ve come to really love is AdamBeauty, and they do in fact stock it for a slightly higher price, so worth a look if you’re hunting for the perfect facial sunscreen! And I think it goes without saying that sunscreen is incredibly important, not just for preventing wrinkles but skin cancer too. You’re never too young to start applying it, and it’s never too late to start either!

Love this. Can’t believe iGisele goes through a tube every 1-2 weeks as she uses it all over her face AND body during summer. Crazy huh?
