Ever since I finished up my beloved Bobbi Brown concealer, I decided to venture forth and try a bunch of other concealers to see what else the market had to offer, and after hearing rave reviews for Benefit’s Erase Paste I decided to give it a shot.
And I can completely understand the rave, this concealer is thick, creamy and blends amazingly well into my skin, especially the delicate area under my eyes. Consistency wise it is very similar to Bobbi Brown’s Creamy Concealer but I’d say colour wise, there is less variety and from my experience the shade has more pink rather than yellow.
The coverage for this is fantastic, but you need to make sure only to use a very light application because if you have fine lines, they will become very apparently with a heavy application. Potentially you could fix this with face primer, though it’s a technique I haven’t personally tried yet.
The only grip I have with this product is the packaging, I mean I really love how light it is and adorably purple it is, but I hate the depth. I tend to dip my ring finger into the pan to apply directly under my eyes, but I can see myself struggling with this the further I go along because it’s going to get harder and harder to get the “flat” of my finger to pick up the product. Instead it’ll be my tip, which means it may go under my nail and get messy.
Still this is truly a great concealer that I will finish up using. It’s a great dupe for the Bobbi Brown Concealer, but since I prefer the Bobbi Brown packaging more (flat pan), I’ll probably go back to that once I’ve finish with this one.
For reference, I’m using the colour Fair and my skin tone is between NC15-20.
If you’re interested, you can purchase this concealer for around $26US at Sephora.

I’ve been using Erase Paste for years and it’s my go-to under-eye concealer. I usually use a little brush to apply mine, which makes it a bit easier to get it out of the package.

Oh that’s a good idea! I should try the brush technique as I use this up π

This seems so so good! I’m currently using MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, but I could probably give this a try once I’m finished with it!

I have a tiny jar of this from a Benefit set but it settles into the fine lines under my eyes which ends up making me look older and more tired π All concealers tend to do this on me though so it’s a step in my makeup routine I don’t bother with anymore lol
Celina says
Oh man that sucks π Perhaps try a primer first? I tend to get the same problem too so I try to use a super light application.

I have tried a primer, it didn’t seem to help much unfortunately. I suppose I can take comfort in the fact underye circles aren’t a huge problem for me (instead I get to conceal acne & scars haha)
