This is a continuation from last week’s Part 1 post covering the OPI Burlesque collection, time for the solids~
All swatches are 3 coats (except for Rising Star which is 2), and no top coat so you can see their true finish.
Rising Star
The official description calls this a lustrous glimmering gold, I agree with all of that except for the “gold”, for some reason this feels almost orange to me. It applies like a dream, had no issues what so ever, very pigmented too (hence the 2 coats).
Take The Stage
A very coppery orange shimmer colour, reminds me of Uluru and the Australian outback for some reason.
Let Me Entertain You
Very vibrant magenta polish littered with lots of hot pink shimmer! This was a pretty opaque polish and probably only needed 2 coats. I know this is going to sound weird, but this is the happy polish from the collection! *cue judgment*
Ali’s Big Break
A lot of the holiday collections no doubt have red in them, but this is a little different from the norm. It’s got a slight orange ting to it with bright red shimmer. I’d say it’s almost boring and worth a miss, unless you are seriously lacking some good reds in your collection.
The Show Must Go On!
A duo chrome deep pink and gold shimmer, it felt like the odd one out of the solids just because it seems to be a primarily shimmer only polish. For the most part is does just appear to be a deep pink shimmery nail polish, with a gold lining. Very pretty.
Tease-y Does It
A very rich coffee brown colour with gold / copper flecks, it’s a beautiful colour and I’m not sure if I’ve seen this some place before. It feels like a slight twist on an otherwise old colour.
Overall
The lacquers for this collection applied wonderfully, all had great pigmentation and you could definitely get away with just 2 coats for most. I’d certainly walk away with Take The Stage and Ali’s Big break from this collection, and maybe even The Show Must Go On! Personally, I prefer the solid hands down in comparison to the glitters, but to each their own!

I can see how you think it’s like uluru. I think it’s because on all those ads and postcards etc ..the sand kinda resembles that colour :S ?!
But I like Rising Star! I CAN SEE THE GOLD. But I can also see orange. ;_;
