This year’s OPI end of year collection was dedicated to the movie Burlesque, hence all the glitz and glam! The collection was so big I had to split it up into two whole posts (since I hate uber long posts that scroll forever… part of my real job is UX so go figure ahaha)
I decided to post the glitters first because New Years Eve celebrations are just a few days away, and what better way to glitz up then with glitter polish? π The glitter collection was very interesting as none of them were “true colour” glitters. They had a dominate colour, with about 2-3 other shades mixed in for added dazzle. And please excuse the glittery mess, hard to keep my fingers spotless after swatching one glitter polish after another @_@
3 coats for all swatches, except for the last two that needed 4! Beware chunky glitter ahoy!
Bring on the Bling
A light gold glitter with random specs of green, pink and silver, it’s a very light gold shade and appears to have some silver in it some certain angles.
Extra-va-vaganza!
An orange glitter with green, pink, silver and gold flecks, it’s not a very true orange and up close it’s almost hard to tell it is an orange glitter.
Glow Up Already!
A glittering green polish, but worse than Extra-va-vaganza you can’t even tell up close because of the many other colours diluting it. So I took a second shot further away from the nail to give you a better look.
Simmer & Shimmer
An icy blue glitter, I actually really like this one. I think the silver and blue glitters really compliment each other to create a very “cool” effect. (omgosh, my puns are awful)
Show It & Glow It!
A fuchsia glitter, again with random bits of colour. I found the actual lacquer to also be tinted pink, as opposed to clear which was the case for all the other polishes, which might be why the fuchsia feels stronger in this swatch.
Sparkle-icious
A multi-colour glitter polish, cross between gold, pink and blue~ Very pretty and I reckon would look amazing on top of some black polish π
Overall
Let’s face it, if you love chunky glitter, this is certainly collection for you! My desk was littered with glitter by the end of this swatching session and my hands felt like disco balls. Otherwise stay away and consider the solids that will be coming next week (which I personally prefer) π

I’m not completely in to the glitter but they still look nice when you want to stand out π π <3

Same! I actually love looking at glitter polish, but the fear of knowing how difficult / long it will take to remove does put me off @_@

Took me forever to remove these. I love layering glitter over solid colours too!
