Introducing Chanel’s Summer 2012 nail polish collection. The entire collection really reminds me of the desert sands at sunset. It mostly consists of beige, sandy shades with splashes of bright orange. It’s a great collection with a lot of wearable shades. My favourite would be Island and Delight. I generally didn’t experience any issues with the formulation for all polishes though.
All swatches are two coats with no top coat.
Holiday
A tangerine crème shade, could probably be considered vermillion to some? It’s close to red, but not quite as the orange is still quite prominent. I found Essie’s Orange, It’s Obvious! is a tad lighter version and Essie’s Meet Me at Sunset is an exact match with less pigmentation.
Island
A pearly nude shade, very wearable to work with a bit of extra glam. I found Dior’s 220 to be a darker less iridescent version.
Delight
A true brown polish with golden shimmers, I honestly couldn’t find anything similar to this in my collection. If I had to pick one I’d say Zoya’s Richelle is as close as I can get. The finish is similar, but it has far more yellow tones in it.
