It’s time for some Spring 2015 collections, my favourite collections of the year 😀 I love how light, soft and often wearable most of the shades that come out during Spring are. Followed closely with Summer, which tends to be more about bronzing and highlights, then Holiday collections. I’m pretty indifferent to Fall and Winter collections.
But today we’re here to talk about these three beautiful polishes Chanel released as part of their Reverie Parisienne Spring 2015 collection. The swatches below are 2 coats without a top coat (so you can see the true finish), and not surprisingly my opinion on each bottle varies quite a bit.
Tenderly
Least favourite from this collection, a muted crème purple shade. The shade is fine, but I found the formula a little strange, it had this weird tendency to shrink quite a bit as it dried, so the edges of my nails would be noticeably lighter in terms of pigmentation (pre-mature tip chip) Not a great look, definitely would not recommend picking this one up (though it could potentially just be my bottle)
Desirio
Deep rich magenta shade, loved this one! Super pigmented, creamy and dried beautifully on the nails. Honestly, I would have only needed one coat to achieve the swatch above, the colour is very saturated.
Paradisio
A metallic silver lime shade, this one I had a bit of a love hate relationship with. On the one hand the shade is really amazing. And if you have long nails, really helps elongate your fingers even more so. However because of its metallic nature, it was not great at hiding imperfections on the nails such as ridges.
If you’re keen, they are available now online for $27USD each, or you can purchase they at any Chanel counter at Myer, David Jones or their Boutiques for $39AUD each.
