Eyes are my favourite facial feature overall! And according to most other beauty bloggers, seems to be the focal area when people are doing tutorials or FOTDs! So here are some of my favourite ways to achieve even bigger brighter looking eyes!
1) Line the upper lash line with a dark eyeliner
Why? Helps makes the lash line appear larger.
2) Line the waterline with a peach or white eyeliner
Why? From a glance, it makes the whites of your eyes seem to extend a bit more and softens the edge of your eyes.
3) Curl your lashes and wear mascara
Why? It helps open up your eyes, literally making your eyes appear bigger.
4) Wear false lashes.
Why? Same as number 3, only to a greater extent!
5) Wear a medium to dark eye shadow to the crease.
Why? Gives off the illusion of larger eye sockets as well as larger eyelids.
6) Add light shimmering eye shadows to the inner corner of your eyes.
Why? Brings in more light to the eyes, makes them appear larger and brighter.
7) Add a light eye shadow to the brow bone.
Why? Helps create shadows, depth and definition to the eyes.
Let me know if you have any more tips! ๐ I’ve found the 7 above to work best for me whilst working through my Book of Fables series~
FYI, because I was asked recently, I don’t wear brown contact lenses in any Book of Fables, my eyes are naturally light brown. I know, I’m the reject asian :/

Thanks for posting these tips. I’m awful when doing my eyes. Any tips on eyeliner that smudge like crazy? On typical normal days I just eyeline my eyes but it’s been smudging.

No worries, I hope they helped ๐ For the upper lash line, I recommend mainly liquid liners, MAC Liquidlast Liner is possibly waterproof I think because I actually found it incredibly hard to remove unless you use an oil based eye makeup remover. But it is perfect if you want a liner that doesnโt budge at all! Personally I use MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner because it removes easily with warm water. Just try not to cry with it on else it will rub off!
If liquid isnโt for you, gel liners such as MAC Fluidline or Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner are great too, they may start to smudge after 4-5hrs, but only very slightly and it doesnโt happen often for me (usually happens when I put too much on)
Generally pencil and kohl liners will smudge so best to avoid if you want that clean line.

re: point 1 – i used to be really scared to line too close to my lashlines until a MA insisted lining them during a makeover. wow, it made a huge difference! not only my eyes appears bigger, i also look less tired.

Thanks! Doesn’t it make such a difference?? I love the way you do your eyes ๐ I used to be terrified of lining my waterline, because I felt like the product could literally land in my eye @_@ I’m still too scared to tightline though, makes me eyes feel funny.
