Time for another Holiday 2010 gift set review / swatch. Again, I use the term “review” loosely because I haven’t honestly used this long enough to give an accurate rating.
The Glamour to Go: Fairy Edition palette is one of the Holiday items released by Too Faced for the 2010 holiday season. I picked this up at my local Kit Cosmetics for $32.95AU, but I think you can get it online for $19.50US? Just watch for the shipping rates, when I did the maths it worked out to be $1.50AU MORE expensive to order online O_O Crazy shipping rates, hope you’re luckier than me!
The palette comes with 8 eye shadows (mixture of colours and textures), a blush, a bronzer, a lip colour and no applicator. It’s a tiny palette that can fit comfortably in my hand.
I found the colour selection for the eye shadows kind of odd, there being no real “logic” to the colour pattern. The darker shadows were more pigmented than the lighter ones. The shadows were not super silky pigmented, but pigmented enough for me to comfortably apply them with a brush to my eyelids.
The lip gloss was rather disappointing, I was hoping for at least some colour, but I got next to none ๐ The swatch above is actually 3 swatches layered over each other, and still you can only barely see the colour. If you want any “slip” on your lips, you are going to have to dig deep into this pan.
The blush and bronzer were very pigmented, more so than the eye shadows. Very silky powder too, the colours are a good “general crowd” pleasing choice, probably the best products from this palette.
The packaging is cute no doubt, but not very strong. I knocked this palette off a drawer and it fell probably only 20cms? And it blush / lip / bronzer drawer automatically pulled open. So even though it does seem to “click” in place, I’m not convinced it wouldn’t just somehow open when crushed against the contents of my messy handbag.
Overall
It’s a great palette with lovely colours, but it’s not unique. Aside from the blue and moss colours, I feel like I’ve seen this palette before. The loose lip / blush / bronzer drawer leaves me too worried to travel with this. It’s a nice to have palette, but not a must.

It’s soooo cute and the price is really good for here but I think you are right about it not being terribly unique. Will pass on this one!
