The lovely people at NARS kindly sent me their latest cream foundation, unfortunately the shade they provided was way too dark for me (Barcelona), but since I was planning on purchasing this product anyways I decided to go ahead and purchase the refill for Gobi instead, which was a perfect match for me π In the photo it appears a lot lighter than than my natural skin tone on my face, but it matches my neck well and once full applied everything looks perfect.
I’ve been on a real cream foundation kick at the moment and have gone through quite a few and this is definitely one of the better ones. The formula feels incredibly light, creamy and pigmented. I’d say I needed about 4-5 swipes of the brush to completely cover my entire face.
I’d say this was a medium to full coverage foundation, easily buildable. I love how natural it makes my skin look despite it being so full coverage. I think it’s clear from the photos that the coverage is flawless and the only way you’d be able to tell I was wearing foundation was the fact that my skin looks perfect (it’s not naturally that perfect… π )
It does have a tendency to leave your skin appearing a little dewy, which is fine if that’s the look you’re going for. I was fine with that, but I knew that adding some face powder would help my foundation last longer, so each time I used this I would throw on a light dusting of face powder.
After a full day of wear I did notice a bit of wear around the oilier parts of my face, such as around my nose, but for the most part it held up well and is definitely one of my favourite cream foundations. Highly recommend it π
