Last week I received a palette from Laura Mercier I absolutely loved! This week unfortunately is not going to be the same š I saw the Laura Mercier Candleglow Luminizing Palette ($58USD / $69AUD) online, it looked amazing and I just had to grab it to test for myself because who wouldnāt love a beautiful highlighter palette just in time for summer?
Personally I only found half the palette useable, which to me is clear from the swatches about. The four eyeshadow shades were patchy and not shadows Iād bother reaching for. The colour is great, but the lack of consistency in the pigmentation just doesnāt cut it for me, and when applied to my brow bone, is very subtle. Which isnāt bad, but Iād prefer something with great pigmentation that gives me a larger range of looks to play with.
The blushes however were fantastic! So rich and pigmented, a little on the darker side so probably better for people with dark skin tones. It felt a little like night and day for me, which is so disappointing. I really wanted to love this palette, and it looked stunning! But I couldnāt recommend this palette to anyone else.
Definitely a palette Iāll keep just for the blushes alone (plus the amazing palette design!) but if I could do it over I wouldnāt have bothered picking it up myself.
If you are interested, you can pick one up from either Sephora, David Jones or Nordstrom.
