A few months back I attended a highly informative session held by La Roche-Posay regarding sun and skincare. Even though I know skincare against the sun is incredibly important (I wear sunscreen daily even if at home), it really helped reinforce how vital it in the context of anti-aging! Sun protection is a huge factor regarding all La Roche-Posay face products, it’s one of their signature traits.
La Roche-Posay kindly provided a number of products for me to try out, one of them being their famous Melt-in BB Cream. I was provided two shades, a Medium and Light, which are all the shades currently available. Light tends to have a greyer tone to it, and Medium warmer, and as it turns out Light suited my skin much better.
If you’re looking for something that provides sun protection, hydration to the skin, but with minimal coverage then this might be perfect for you. Personally, I think this would be better for drier skin types, as it leaves a dewy finish after application. Even I tend to dusty a bit of translucent powder over the top before I head out, but that’s not to say people with oilier skins can’t use it. Just needs the right amount of powder to help set it.
I love how it feels on the skin, and with a light application it feels like I’m almost wearing nothing. I’m not a big foundation person during the working week, though this year I’m making a bigger effort to wear more makeup and this BB cream is the perfect forward. I prefer to apply BB creams with my hands, but a foundation brush works fine as well if you prefer.
A great casual base to throw on without looking too made up! But if you have oily skin, then make sure to apply powder afterwards.
