I have a bit of an ulterior motive whilst writing this blog post, but I’m get into that after I share with you a few points about this gorgeous wearable lipstick by Guerlain. Guerlain always have some of the most interesting packaging when it comes to their products (think their Rouge G de Guerlain Lipstick line), they have good weight to them and feel so luxurious.
Today I’m sporting Guerlain’s Kiss Kiss Lipstick in Baby Rose ($37USD / $41AUD). A wearable mauve pink shade that is perfect for everyday and work. The formula is in my mind pretty standard (not in a bad way!), in the sense that it doesn’t come with a huge amount of shine or moisture. Which actually means in comparison to a lot of more hydrating sheer lipsticks, you’ll get a good lasting power with this bullet.
However I want to get to my ulterior motive. If you’re an Australian, then this post is directly aimed at you. As an Australian, we are constantly forced to pay 20-30% more for our cosmetics, it’s become a bit of a way of life and unless you’re using mail forwarding services or travel a ton, something you’ve had to accept. But if you’ve noticed lately I’ve been trying to include the Aussie and USA price for all products I review. And if you check out the price above, once you convert the USA price, Guerlain is cheaper in Australia!
Yes, it’s actually cheaper to head down to your local David Jones or Myer Guerlain counter and pick up the products in person rather than head overseas! Exiting and something I really wanted to point out. Guerlain still is by no means a “cheap” brand, in fact in the luxury family they are one of the pricer brands, but it’s certainly good knowing we’re better off buying their products in person
You can pick up one (or two) for yourself at either Bloomingdale, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Sephora or David Jones if you’re a fellow Aussie 🙂
