To celebrate their 15 year anniversary, Chantecaille released this beautiful neutral eye shadow trio that features three endangered species that still need our help today, really makes you feel good buying this palette, especially if you’re someone like me who otherwise does very little actively to help the environment (most of what I do is pretty passive).
I’m not sure if you can tell, but this palette swatches as beautifully as it looks. I’ve never had issues with the quality of Chantecaille products, though I’ll admit to not experimenting with a large range of products from them (mostly powdered products). Whilst being powder shadows, they felt like butter. Smooth, easy to blend and very pigmented! Though because I’m such a fan of the design, I found it difficult to wear down the adorable designs and have continues to try and only using the powder around it. It makes for strange usage!
From a practical stand point, at $68USD this palette is definitely steep and marketed towards a very targeted group of customers. That said, I always find myself coming back to Chantecaille just because I know proceeds from palettes such as these ones are donated to various organisations helping to maintain and protect mother earth. I suppose I see this as my very small way of having fun and contributing 🙂
If you’re keen, you can purchase this online for $68USD.
