You guys know that Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine lipsticks are some of my favourites. I’ve reviewed them so many times on the blog from previous collections and every time I see them pop up in a new collection, I can’t help but snap them up! The colours are always wearable, these are the type of lipsticks I feel happy to just toss into my handbag before I head out to work.
I’m definitely not comfortable wearing heavy makeup or saturated shades in the office. I like to keep it neutral and subtle, so the Rouge Coco Shine range is perfect for this. Additionally, I love how hydrating these feel on the lips, again a perfect product for those who work in an air conditioned office like I do. Clearly this range is just meant for those of us who have a 9-5 desk job 🙂
Both of these shades were released as part of Chanel’s Spring 2015 collection, and I honestly can’t decide between the two. I generally like to jump between pink and red lipsticks depending on my moods, I tend to favour pinks on the weekdays and reds on the weekends so I’m certainly getting a lot of use out of these two.
For those new to the Rouge Coco Shine range, just keep in mind that given they are a sheerer lipstick you will need to reapply often if you want to maintain the colour on your lips. I tend to be a little lazy when it comes to lip colours, I’ll apply in the morning and touch up sometimes after meals. Really not that often so I’ve yet to hit “pan” on any of these tubes. But I imagine if you’re applying 5-6 times a day you’ll see the end of this pretty soon, so it might be worth trying something more pigmented.
All in all, I love these! I will always and continue to purchase these even though you guys know I have more than enough to last a life time… Let’s call it my duty as beauty blogger 😉
If you’re interested, I purchased these online for $36USD a tube.
