If you’re a fan of pigmented hydrating lipsticks, then Benefit’s Hydra-Smooth Lip Color may be right up your alley. Personally I feel a little torn over this product, and I’ll explain why.
On the one hand, the quality is very good. While it’s not the softest or glossiest lip product out there, it’s similar to Clinique’s Chubby Stick range. It’s pigmented, long lasting and hydrating. Three characteristics I highly value in any lip product.
But the one thing I don’t love about this product is the packaging. I’m just not a fan of the look, feels bulky and not something I could see myself toting around and apply constantly in public. Not that the cute packaging is anything to be ashamed about, but I don’t personally think it suits my style.
So I’ll let you be the judge, it’s a great quality product, but given I already know of other brands that share a similar quality I probably won’t be purchasing this in any other shades.
If you’re interested, you can find them online for $19USD.

Absolutely agree that this is the most awkward packaging ever. And I constantly nick the side of the bullet against the weird cap. The product is good, but the packaging makes it wayyyy too much work.

That sucks :/ I hate packaging that essentially “eats” away at the product! Seems so wasteful 🙁
