One of the things I tend to worry just a little bit about as a beauty blogger (and yes I know these are first world problems) is coming home from a shopping trip (aka USA) to come home to packages that contain the same products I had just purchased. I did purchase a number of bareMinerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolors while traveling (they are fantastic, expect another review soon), so when I saw lip glosses from bareMinerals waiting for me I was hoping they weren’t the same ones I bought. Fortunately they were not!
Instead these glosses are known as Marvellous Moxie Lipglosses, they don’t have as much pigmentation as the Pretty Amazing Lipcolors, they are much more akin to traditional glosses. A sheer wash of colour with a lovely shine.
Despite the sheer colour, I still preferred to wear them alone (and I don’t think the colour was really that sheer!), they have a very minty smell and feel to them, so your lips end up feeling rather refreshed. That feeling actually lasts for a good 2-3 hours after application, or at least until the gloss starts to wear off. After the 3 hr mark, I felt the need to reapply to achieve the same shine. These aren’t as slippery as say Chanel’s Aqualumiere Gloss, but they are not where nearly as sticky as Lancome’s Juicy Tubes! They lean closer to being on the not sticky side.
Not surprisingly, the most intriguing gloss was Hypnotist, it’s this beautiful duo chrome, purple / silver gloss that works much better as a top coat to lipstick than on its own. But it’s so unusual and different, I absolutely loved it!
If you love minty glosses with sheer pigmentation, then these may be just what you’re looking for.
If you’re interested, these go for $26.95AUD a pop at Mecca Cosmetica.

Hypnotist looks great on you in my opinion. It has a beautiful color which is not too light and not too dark. i find it natural on lips too.
