Cannot believe the first month of Spring is over! It’s been a quite a busy month for me, both at work and with Fables as I’ve been working hard to try and get some Halloween videos prepared for October, which I am very excited about! Hopefully you guys will enjoy them ๐
Okay, on to the empties for this month! Not very many, been a small empties month for me ๐
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream *
This is a great all around moisturiser, it doesn’t have any specific treatments besides keeping your skin hydrated for as long as possible. I used this to help seal in my serums at night. Lasted me a good few months and really enjoyed it, but probably wouldn’t purchase it again because of the exposed “tub” packaging, which always leaves me worried about bacteria and dust falling on it.

Estee Lauder CyberWhite Brilliant Cells Full Spectrum Brightening UV Protector
I’m a firm believer in always wearing a separate sunscreen even if all your moisturisers and makeup products may contain SPF! Especially in a place like Australia where the UV rays are so much harsher than the rest of the world.
This took be a while to finish up just because I was having so much difficulty trying to find a moisturiser that worked with it. The formula is very watery, I made sure to use around 3/4 of a tea spoon for each application for my face alone. This is a greasy sunscreen so it has a tendency to give your face a lot of shine! Some days I wouldn’t mind, others I would so I would either dust some translucent setting powder over the top or use some blotting paper.
Now that I have found the perfect moisturiser for this, I definitely would consider repurchasing this again, however I’ve moved on to testing some sunscreens by Biore at the recommendation of Val so depending how those go, it may be a while!
REN Cleansing Balm Sample
A sample cleansing balm I picked up whilst in Roma, Italy last year. Personally not a huge fan of cleansing balms, I prefer cleansing oils as I feel balms don’t do a very good job at removing all your makeup. So on completely makeup free days I’ll go for a balm, and every other day I’ll use the oils. That said, this particular balm had a very strong herbal scent to it, so even though it did a good job at cleansing my face I wouldn’t purchase a full size.
Lancome Hypnose Mascara – Black
My HG mascara, enough said, I’ve raved about it endless on this blog. I just don’t love the price so I make sure to pick up a couple of tubes every time I swing through duty free when I travel which means I allow myself to crack open one once every few months to enjoy as I test out other mascaras. I have and will continue to repurchase, no questions!
