Dior Rouge Blush Colour & Glow is yet another stunning new addition to the Dior makeup line that comes in six beautiful shades. It is a duo palette in matte and glow finishes that allows you to use them either as a blush and highlighter or a contour shade and highlighter depending on which shade you select. For this review I’ll be talking specifically about 457 Diorette shade, which is a soft matte coral blush and a shimmering peachy-gold highlighter, my favourite colour combination for my skin type.
However I loved this line so much, I went ahead and picked up two other shades which I’ll review separately in future blog posts and be sure to update this blog post if you are interested. These are available from the official Dior website for $92AUD or $88AUD each (depends which website you go to).

Packaging
If you’ve been a fan of Dior products for a few years you’ll have noticed that in recent years they’ve opted to reduce the thickness of their packaging for a much slimmer version. Which as a bit (HAH) of a makeup collector I love as it makes storage just so much easier. I also really appreciate them forgoing the standard min blush brushes that some of these products. Only because I never use those applicators (they are never great quality) and they end up just taking up so much unnecessary space. In true Dior style, the packaging is beautiful and comes with a large internal mirror that reflects true to size (none of this magnifying nonsense).
Colour Payoff
This is something you are either going to love or hate, but the colour payoff is very soft. You can see in the swatches that despite my best efforts it is not very pigmented. This is actually something I love because it allows me to very gradually build the colour and avoid over blushing myself (which can be so frustrating once you’ve taken so long to lay down the perfect base). The formula is very hard so you don’t need to worry about going too hard with your brush. I’d definitely go gentle at first to get a feel for how much colour payoff you want, as it’s very build able. The texture though is silky smooth and very finely milled, you’d be hard pressed to create any harsh lines with this formula as it blends beautifully into the skin to give you a very natural flush.
Longevity and Wear
As with all my makeup, I tend to wear it for around 16 hours a day. The only time I have to do my makeup is always early in the morning when I first wake up at around 6am – 7am, and then most days are just crazy until I can ease into my night time routine at around 11pm. So I really get an opportunity to test the longevity of my makeup and I’m happy to say the Dior Rouge Blush Colour & Glow did not disappointment. By the evening I could tell the colour was still just as strong as it was in the morning, I did notice it had seeped into the texture of my skin a bit but despite this the vibrancy was still there.
Final Thoughts
Love this product, without a doubt. The colour combination is perfect for me (at least I’d like to think so) and is something I wear constantly for work. The thing I really love about this product is not only how convenient it is to have both my blush and highlighter in the same palette, but how wearable it is for everyday use. When in the office I go a little lighter touch to give my skin a natural flush, and when I’m working from home where I need to be a little heavier handed with my makeup, I can still use this same makeup and just layer it a couple times more to get the intensity I need for it to appear on a video call. Where as usually I use different makeup products for in the office work and at home work. I’m very excited to review the other two colours I have to see what they are like.
