Dior Rouge Blush Colour & Glow is a stunning new addition to the Dior makeup line that comes in six beautiful shades. It is a duo palette in matte and glow finishes that allows you to use them either as a blush and highlighter or a contour shade and highlighter depending on which shade you select. Today I’ll be reviewing the shade 100 Diorissimo which is less a blush and more a contour and highlighter palette instead. A couple week ago I published a review for the 457 Diorette shade for those who may be curious.
These are available online for $92AUD or $88AUD each (depends which website you go to).

Packaging
If you’ve been a fan of Dior products for a few years you’ll have noticed that in recent years they’ve opted to reduce the thickness of their packaging for a much slimmer version. Which as a bit (HAH) of a makeup collector I love as it makes storage just so much easier. I also really appreciate them forgoing the standard min blush brushes that some of these products. Only because I never use those applicators (they are never great quality) and they end up just taking up so much unnecessary space. In true Dior style, the packaging is beautiful and comes with a large internal mirror that reflects true to size (none of this magnifying nonsense).
Colour Payoff
Similar to the blushes, I found that the contour and highlight duo had a pretty soft colour payoff, which I really loved. A big reason for this, especially when it comes to contour, is that I think a good natural contour needs to be subtle and build able. I do find generally, not including bronzers, most contour powders have a softer colour pay off for this reason. However I do wish the highlight stood out just a tiny bit more.
The formula is very hard so you don’t need to worry about going too heavy with your brush. I’d definitely go gentle at first to get a feel for how much colour payoff you want, and then build from there. The texture though is silky smooth and very finely milled, you’d be hard pressed to create any harsh lines with this formula, it blends beautifully.
Longevity and Wear
As with all my makeup, I tend to wear it for around 16 hours a day. The only time I have to do my makeup is always early in the morning when I first wake up at around 6am – 7am, and then most days are just crazy until I can ease into my night time routine at around 11pm. So I really get an opportunity to test the longevity of my makeup and I’m happy to say the Dior Rouge Blush Colour & Glow did not disappointment somewhat. By the evening I could tell my contour was still intact, but my highlighter had faded a fair bit. I usually find this to generally be the case with most softer highlighters.
Final Thoughts
What can I say, I’m a sucker for a good contour! For years I had to make do with overly orangey bronzers and in recent years as more and more brands release these cool toned contours, I can’t help but pick them all up to give them a try. This particular contour shade is perfect for my skin tone, I love that it comes paired with a highlighter though I do with the highlighter was just a touch more pigmented I’m happy with the intensity of the contour shade. Another perfect palette from Dior for everyday use.
