I’ve never reviewed a perfume before, and that’s most likely because generally I don’t enjoy scented products. I’m more the sort of person who just wants to have a good shower and smell clean. Yet I still do have a perfume collection (admittedly a small one) because I do like having a particular scent for special occasions or something I just feel like it.
“elegant and spirited young woman in love”
Miss Dior Chérie is the first perfume I’ve ever tried~ I remember first encountering it at Duty Free many years ago, at the time I graduated from University and wanted literally to “graduate” into a mature woman, I thought this was the perfect start.
I’m not the best at describing scents (maybe I need more practice), but I would call this floral fruity sweet, all the things I love in a scent for myself. It feels classic and chic, I certainly feel more polished and put together with this on.
I usually spray this on my hair or clothes rather than my skin as I find that makes the scent last much longer. When on my skin, I find the scent disappearing after a few hours. When on my hair and clothes, sometimes the scent can still linger on till the very next morning.

I love this perfume.
I’ve had more bottles than I can count.
The scent definitely ‘sticks’ better to clothes and hair than skin.
And the bottle is very simple yet elegant too 🙂

One of my dental nurses called Cherie used to wear this every day. Every time I smell it, I think of her!

I know I should love this perfume. Some of my favourite scents are in there. I love orange, neroli & patchouli… but this does nothing for me. I think it’s my body chemistry. Shame, it smells nice on other people. ): Great review, btw.

I reckon that’s the thing about perfumes, that they are even more subjective than makeup products! Would love to hear what perfumes you enjoy 🙂
