Another entry to MUG‘s bi-monthly competition, this time we have an Arabian look, though I reckon I came out looking a bit more Indian than Arabian 🙁
Special thanks goes out to Elias and Annie, Elias is responsible for taking these amazing photos! If you haven’t seen his work yet, you must check it out~! And Annie for being my stylist and makeup advisor~! This girl seriously needs to be at every single shoot I ever attend, she is the best stylist, makeup artist, fashion designer and photographer assistant all in one! I love these guys <3
Also shout out goes to the talented Sam <3 Who organised an amazing shoot that day which I attended to play makeup artist and graciously allowed me to borrow some space for this shoot 🙂 I will post about the shoot very soon~
All my jewellery was on sale at Diva and have been altered by myself. The scarf is one of my beautiful Louis Vuitton scarves, I absolutely love it (though haven’t worn it out yet) it has a map of the entire world on it~ I confess, I’m a huge LV addict though I do my best to hide my addiction from most people 😡

Face
After primer and foundation, take a bronzing powder and contour the face to sharpen all your features. Use a matte highlighter to highlight the high points to assist with this, and finish off with a pink blush to the cheeks. This process will probably the take the longest, but do take your time because if done well it will stand out!
Eyes
Prime your lids, then dust a white eye shadow all over the brow bone, inner corner of your eyes and lower lash line. Take a gold eye shadow and apply with your finger directly on the lid. Next take a maroon shadow and apply directly into the crease, blending upwards. Don’t blend into the eye lid, we want a distinct cut look.
Next take a black gel liner and line your upper lash line, winging it out. I would next time consider either drawing a thicker liner or smudging it out a bit, I don’t think I used enough liner for my look. Draw a line just below your lower lash line, traditionally Arabian women line their water line, but for a bit of a different twist to the look I decided on this instead 🙂
Curl your lashes, apply a coat of mascara and then apply your false lashes.
Define and extend your brows with a dark brown eye shadow and set with a clear gel.
Lips
Line and fill in your lips with a dark red lip liner, then cover up with a plummy lipstick.

Wow you look amazingly gorgeous and the eyes are so intense. Wonderful job Celina!
Celina says
Thanks so much Cynthia! 😀 I think the photographer had a lot to do with that XD
Sefie says
I think it’s when the scarf is on your head that you look more Indian, and more Arabic when it’s down. All in all, nothing cannot beat the trio that is you, Elias and Annie!
Celina says
Multi-racial look ftw? XD
Tanya says
Love it! This is simply marvellous!
I do wish there was a shot of your eyelids closed, or looking down, because none of the shots show the deliberate non-blending cut look you described.
Celina says
I was actually thinking that last night when I was writing up this post 🙁 I usually always do post them because I take the photos myself, this time however the photographs were taken by Elias and none with my eyes closed were issued to me 🙁 Next time I’ll make sure to ask him kindly to include some if they is okay having them released 🙂

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s amazing make-up! And I am lovin your LV scarf btw. And for some bizarre reason, you look like one of my singaporean friends called Sarah Li. Anyway, I just discovered your blog the last couple of days after you commented on mine (thank you) and I am going to play catch-up and read your entire blog because the pictures are great and the reviews are interesting! Stunning HT! But I will admit that while I do love the make up, for the first time my eyes aren’t drawn to it as much… Aaah I can’t stop drooling over your LV Mono Map Scarf!!! Omg so pretty!
Celina says
Heheh I don’t blame you 😉 I’d totally love to hit up LV with you one day HT~
Nouf says
Nice makeup 🙂 however being an Arab myself I had to correct you girls that this is not an Arabic makeup (even the costume) this is Indian
Celina says
Thanks so much 🙂 And thank you for the correction too! I suspected it looked rather Indian so it’s good to know at least I can do Indian makeup hehe. I will need to practice more and hopefully one day manage true Arab makeup~ The makeup is absolutely gorgeous 🙂
Nouf says
My pleasure <3
Nadia says
This look’s gorgeous! I love it on you! However, being of half Arabic descent, I think this look’s more Indian than Arabic. Hopefully you don’t take my comments personally.:)
I’d love to see you in Arabic makeup though, a look I’m sure you’ll pull off brilliantly. Arabic makeup generally concentrates on the eyes – like really super intense eyes. I hope you’ll try it! I’ve always loved all the looks you’ve pulled through for your Fables in Fashion series! 🙂
And that scarf? Ahh Celina…it’s lovely and to-die-for!!! 🙂
Celina says
Thanks so much Nadia~
Dude, no offense at all, the whole point of my look books is not to sport complete and perfect looks, but for me to show you guys my progress in becoming better at make up application~ And Nouf above kindly pointed out that this was more an Indian look than Arabian~
I def def want to learn how to do Arabian makeup, they have the most amazing eye makeup and I think I will try and do a take two of this soon! 😀 I had no idea you were half Arabic, I will have to run the look by you before posting it online 😀 <3 <3
Hope you are enjoying your holiday~
