A replication of Natalie Portman’s Black Swan, I couldn’t not do this look because it is so regal and elegant. I actually have shot this look twice, first time I forgot to buy a tiara and tried draping lots of pearls all over myself. It looked okay, but it just wasn’t carry across the same feel / idea. So a few days later I bought a cheap tiara from Diva and re-shot it all π Enjoy!

Face
Prime your entire face, then apply a liquid foundation a few shades lighter than your own. Set with a clear powder, I love this powder because it means I can have an array of different foundation shades and only ever need one shade of powder!
Apply a dusty rose blush to the hollows of your cheeks, and a matte white powder to all your high points. Using a brown matte powder, sculpt the nose to make it appear sharper and smaller. We want to keep the face conservative as possible since the eyes will be so dramatic, but we still need to sculpt it to add more drama.
Eyes
Outline the swam wings around your eyes with a black eye liner, and fill it in with a black gel liner (cream shadow or wet eye shadow is just as good). Set the cream with a black eye shadow powder to prevent creasing. Next with a white gel liner, create flicks across the black to simulate the appearance of feathers. Line the bottom of the swan wings with a red eye shadow.
Curl your lashes, and apply 2 coats of mascara.
Lips
Line the lips with a dark red lip pencil, then fill in with a deep red lipstick. Next using an almost-black red, line your lips. We are trying to darker the outer edges of our lips to added further dimension to this look.

And hehe, cheap Diva tiara xD When I wanted a Tiara back then, no one was selling it! So I had to buy one for around $30-35 in one of those mini side shops at Glen *-*

the way you’ve done the “feathers” was excellent! from the first shot i had thought you made up eye shaped pieces from feathers and glued them on your lids. it looked like there was texture and depth.
Celina says
Wow thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment, I work hard trying to improve my skills each week and to read your comment really makes me feel like I’m heading down the right direction.

I like this look π Just so you know, you linked to The Black Swan instead of Black Swan so I was confused at first because I did not know what either of the movies were π
Celina says
Thank you! And thanks for the tip π I’ve fixed the link so should be all good now~
