When I was travelling through Europe, I made sure to try out some of the brands over there that I’ve never heard of before, Astor is one of those. I remember being in a “local” mall in Germany at the time, at a Priceline equivalent store and found this brand called Astor.
Beside being represented and partially (I think) owned by Heidi Klum, there isn’t much more I know about this brand, so instead I’ll just get right on to the review.
The lip gloss is a good all-round gloss. Nice pigmentation, nice shine, nice feel, not too sticky and as I said, it’s a good all round gloss. That’s the thing, there isn’t anything particularly outstanding about this product, nor is there anything negative that really stands out.
If I could think of an equivalent local brand to match this, I’d think maybe Maybelline?
I find the gloss can last a little over a hour or so before I feel the need to re-apply, it gives a really nice pink tinted gloss. The amount of pigmentation is pretty perfect for everyday to evening. It’s a good general situation gloss.
Unfortunately I purchased this in euros and I can’t remember the exact price, all I know is I saw it a lot during my trip in Germany and I think the stand is worth a look if you ever find yourself travelling through Europe 🙂
